Axy Shortloser
I have been meaning to blog about this. But I was too lazy to take a picture. I can't believe I am even lazy to take a shot of my laptop screen. Anyway, this is it.
You see the red circle? Below the red circle is the four letter word - DEAD.
A couple of days ago (well, actually I think it has almost been a week), I was using the laptop happily. And then there was an annoying ant crawling across my screen. Just as it reached the spot as circled above, I wanted to use a piece of tissue to press it to death, or at least if I couldn't kill it, it would be swept away.
Well, I did kill it by flattening it in the end. It stayed on that exact same spot and wouldn't budge. I tried to use my nails to scratch the carcass away but to no avail. To my exasperation and disbelief, I came to the conclusion that the ant was crawling IN my screen. Now that the stupid ant is dead, its remains will really remain there forever.
[Edit: In response to Dixie, I could kill the ant although it was inside the screen because the screen can be pressed. It is not entirely hard like glass. Try pressing yours. I hope you get me haha.]
Screams. Why do such things happen to me?

Perth-fect (Lo, Julie, April 2010)
My Perth holiday to visit two of my dearest friends, Eunice Teoh and Lydia ZMC. Whoever said Perth was boring should die (okay kidding). I had lots of fun, but I guess it was because I was with the people I love!! ((: I still feel like I haven't explored Perth enough and I made so many friends there during my very short stay and I am thankful for the company everyone gave me!
My stay with Eunice:
As I am typing this at home, I feel hot (I am talking about the weather) looking at myself dressed like that in the pictures.
$$$$$$$. Of course, as tourists (okay more like I am the tourist), we also went to contribute to the Australian economy, buying from major malls and well known Australian brands. $$$$$$. I went shoe crazy.
My new pretty shoes. One of which is a birthday gift from Eunice.
This is King's Street, where the world's renowned fashion houses and brands are lined along, on two sides, in shophouses. We had very awesome caesar salad at the cafe somewhere up the street.
Thank you Eunice for bringing me around shopping and meeting up with your very funny friends which really made my trip! :) And I am sure you enjoyed my company because I let you talk to me endlessly about a specific someone. HAHAHA. Don't kill me.
My stay with Lydia ZMC:

Sunday church! Fellowship lunch where the May babies (okay it is a bit weird to say babies haha because of the three people you see in the picture below) had a mini celebration. I love this church that Lydia goes to. It is very small, homely and cosy. And I share the same birthday as Pastor Errol (the man in the middle), who is such a sweet and sincere man.
Shopping in Harbour Town after church. Omg Harbour Town ROCKS! Shop till you drop and you still won't go bankrupt. I wanted to buy everything.

And on my birthday itself....we went to Mandurah for a cruise. We saw dolphins!! I didn't try to take any pictures of dolphins because it was too hard to do so and I was enjoying the moment haha.
Dear Lydia, thank you for planning everything for me! I really had a lot of fun with you and all your friends. I didn't want to leave Perth and it was almost a teary farewell.
Come back soon I MISS YOUUU!
On this trip to Perth, I think I had experienced briefly how is it like to live alone overseas as a student with all the other fellow Singaporeans. It is really carefree as can be. Oh haha I even find being screamed at by drunk Whites (racial discrimination omg) at night a pretty funny experience.
Okay, so now, I am back home, back to reality. Time to do the laundry and unpack bleahzzz.

Anyway, I am feeling lonely tonight. Adult life is pretty complicated and I haven't even put my full foot through the door yet. I don't understand myself. I have a job waiting for me and I kinda have travel plans, but why do I still feel unbearably stagnated?
Maybe I should just go and sleep. Maybe I miss my Lover too much haha. Oh man.

In The Week That I Did Not Blog
1. I got myself a job. You can call me a market researcher.
My first day is on 7 June and I am very excited.
2. I did not get selected to go to Taipei for the Jetsaver Light Challenge. I am so disappointed. I really thought we had a good chance. But it is okay. Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments.
3. Watched Ip Man 2 which I really liked. It has been a long time since I could sit through a movie without feeling bored/restless/fidgety (insert other adjectives of this sort).
4. Took a long walk to Marina Bay Sands from Esplanade. The new Integrated Resort did not exactly impress me. The place still smells like renovation and paint. Oooh but I caught a glimpse of the casino and the image of Zoe Tay flashed across my mind.
5. Had Kenny Roger's for the first time in my life. I wonder if that is considered pathetic. Pretty good value I would say. I love corn bread.
6. Stayed home with the Mother on Sunday because it was Mother's day. My sister and I bore the Sunday evening rain and thunderstorm to pack food from the food court nearest my place. My mum did not want to go out, she wanted to watch TV.
7. Met up with the Primary School friends for chicken rice at Bt Timah and ice cream at Holland's Daily Scoop. We talked about men and red wine. Hahahaha.
8. Brief meeting with Dixie at Paragon Starbucks. She follows me on Twitter and responded immediately when I tweeted that I was going to lunch at Paragon.
9. Lunch at Soup Restaurant Paragon with the Crescent girls. Everyone's flying somewhere.
10. I have an aim in mind on what to buy with my first pay already. Tee Hee Hee.
11. Just last night, I booked my flights to Perth. Can't wait to see my dear friends there!
Life has been good to me and I am happy.

In The Mood For Love

I Am Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman
On Friday:
1. Hung with Lover at Holland in the heat of the bloody blazing sun. Drank coke and ate Katong laksa for lunch, where I had triple helpings of cockles (I asked for more and Lover gave me hers).
2. Then something happened. I received a call from a potential employer to go for an interview on Tuesday! Yayness. I now have something to look forward to.
3. Spent the remaining sultry afternoon doing nothing consequential at Yakun Holland because Starbucks was filled with annoying kids studying. Well, now that we have both graduated, we can mock at those students studying.
4. In the evening, I was with two whites, a foreign asian scholar, a typical local office lady who hates her job and a bellydancer, who joined us only because of a chance encounter with the scholar which involved some awkward lingerie unhooking affair in the toilets, amidst an entire crowd of corporate slaves drinking their Friday nights away along the stretch of Far East Square.
5. PMS really exists. I was very emotional for no reason and I couldn't sleep until my dear darling Lover talked to me till 3am. Thank you! ((:
On Saturday:
1. Woke up with a huge roll-on-floor richter scale 9.0 menstrual cramp. My sister fed me two pink pills. Awwwww.
2. Went for BBQ at Pasir Ris Park with my family for some church gathering where they tried to set me up with some Engineer guy who was telling me about wafer fabrication, semi conductor chips and IT. Honestly. All I wanted to talk about was why were there floating houses on the sea.
3. I really wished I was somewhere else. But well, the food was good. And it was like another attendance checked on a family activity. So yeah.
4. Fuzzy Wuzzy.
Today:
I am going to my Grandma's soon. So dreading it. Maybe I would do some reading. Till tonight! ((:
